no default or ui configuration directive found kali linux (solved)

so guys this is my fourth blog and my 1st post here is quite a problem for all kali linux users but with no solution so atlast i came with a possible and the most reliable working solution

THE POST CONSISTS OF THREE SOLUTIONS PLEASE TRY ONE OF THEM WILL DEFINETLY WORK FOR YOU

SOLUTION-1

CHANGE THE USB FILE SYSTEM TO FAT 32
STEPS
1.TO DO THAT YOU NEED TO GO TO THE USB DRIVE
2.RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT THE OPTION FORMAT IN THE DROP DOWN MENU
3.CHANGE THE FILESYSTEM TO FAT 32 AND THEN CLICK FORMAT
4.IF IT IS ALREADY IN FAT32 FILE SYSTEM PROCEED TO NEXT SOLUTION

SOLUTION-2

1.FIRST SOLUTION IS THIS
2.OPEN THE USB MEDIA OR WHATEVER YOU NAMED IT
3.rename isolinux(folder)-syslinux(make sure all are small letters and caps lock is off)
4.RENAME isolinux.bin-syslinux.bin
5.RENAME isolinux.cfg-syslinux.cfg

it should look somewhat like this

 isolinux-syslinux
isolinux.bin-syslinux.bin
isolinux.cfg-syslinux.cfg

if this works GOOD if not then move on to next solution

SOLUTION-3

TRY UNETBOOTIN-http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ it WORKED for me I DONT think think why it wouldnt work for you,it previously worked for while using backtrack 5 now it does the same for kali linux
steps to use KALI LINUX in unetbootin
1.install it from the given link
2.open the app
3.now after opening ignore the select distribution coloumn and directly go to second step and  and select the iso file and make sure your correct usb drive is selected and then press ok
4.it will take 10-15 min after that it will ask you to reboot you do that manually or clicking ok
5.select usb after pressing f12 at boot menu and yippe no longer that error(no default or ui configuration directive found)
6.enjoy

If this doesn't work, give a try to this utility:

unetbootin Boot Utility

Don't forget to share :)

  1. The issue with Solution 3 is that it downloads the latest Kernel version and the one which is installed is an older one, due to compatibility of the kernel versions the installation or error rectification is not being done.

    1. You can download older versions too, there are websites that provide it.

    2. It is not about downloading .. this site http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ redirects you to pick the OS and in the drop down menu and choose the architecture version as well. And then it downloads the newer one and we do not have the choice to select the version of OS we require.

    3. Download the image manually, and select the "Diskimage" option from unetbootin. you can target the iso file.

to create a bootable usb you can also use Rufus named utility.

  2. It shows Default option but does not proceed, and when clicked TAB for editing the prompt shows > /ubnkern initrd=/ubninit .... clueless how to proceed?
